The Stampin’ Up! Autumn/Winter catalogue goes live today and aside from new Christmas stamps, DSP and embellishments there are some beautiful stamp sets which can be used for any occasion. As soon as I opened the catalogue, I knew that I had to have the Paisleys and Posies stamp set. It is gorgeous!
I have also recently bought the Beautiful Branches thinlets, so I decided that I would combine the two. Because the Big Shot is too narrow to get a the card through in one piece, I have made the card in two sections, in Mint Macaron card.
For the front, I cut a circle aperture about two thirds of the way up the front of the card. Then I stamped in Versamark, using three different stamps from Paisleys and Posies before heat embossing in white. I cut a tree out of thick Whisper White cardstock and glued it carefully behind the circular window.
If you want to put a piece of card on the inside of the front to hide the “mechanism,” then you could use a contrasting colour.
If you want to see the video it is HERE
You need a piece of card 5″ wide and one piece 5.5″ wide, scored at 1/2″.
I used:
Mint Macaron cardstock
White heat embossing powder and heat gun.
Paisleys and Posies stamp set and Paisley Framelits Dies.
Beautiful Branches Framelits.
Circles Framelits.
