Moonsong Designs  – Independent UK Stampin’ Up Demonstrator.

Oh, I love this stamp set. I think it is going to get a lot of use.

As a demonstrator we get to see an online version of new catalogues a while before they go live, and then we get a pre-order period about 4 weeks before the catalogue launch date.

Normally, I look at the on-line version, and don’t see anything I like. Then when I get a paper copy I start to write a list of the things I absolutely have to have.

This Spring/Summer Catalogue was different. There were a few stamp sets that flew (see what I did there) off the page before I got my grubby mitts onto a hard copy, and this is one.

I think it is the simplicity of this card that makes it work.

I have used watercolour paper here, and stamped with Temping Turquoise using the Watercolour Wash background stamp. Then I used an Aqua Painter on the background until I had the look I wanted.

While it was still ever so slightly damp, I stamped the two dragonflies in Pacific Point ink so that they bled slightly into the background. That is pretty much it, but I am going to have a play to see what effect you get when the background is wetter when you stamp the dragonflies.
