This is a stamp set I have been procrastinating about pretty much since I joined Stampin Up!. I think the font is lovely, but do I want the sentiments? Yes, no, I don’t know. Finally, I got a twitch in my finger and lo and behold, the set appeared in my shopping basket. Oops!
I am so glad it did, it is lovely. The font is so, so pretty and while I probably won’t use some of the sentiments there are many that I will use.
So why did I buy it? Well, if you think laterally you can find uses for many Stampin Up! products that perhaps they were not designed for. That is what I love about the products and crafting in general. I love making bookmarks. They make great gifts and can be made with scraps of card which might otherwise be binned.
This is where the Occasions Alphabet stamps come in, and I decided that I would use them to personalise bookmarks with an initial. Here is the first attempt (sorry about the bad photograph. I really do need to get that sorted).
Made with Pool Party card, I have used the small stamp from the Flowering Flourishes set, which as you know is one of my favourites, and then the two tiny flowers from Summer Silhouettes. I used the “gothic window” punch from the Itty Bitty punch set, the letter “A” from the Occasions Alphabet set and voila! I am pretty pleased with the result.
If you want to buy any of the items I have used or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
