Independent UK Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – Moonsong Designs.
The Birthday Blooms stamp set is one that had completely passed me by until my lovely fellow team mate Anna Krol created a couple of stunning cards with it.
I had a Sale-A-Bration bonus enabling me to get something of my choice free (I love free!) so this is what I chose.
I love Old Olive ink, and knew I wanted to use that for the leaves, and after some mulling, I decided Wisteria Wonder would work beautifully with it.
I stamped and heat embossed the large flower in white on thick Whisper White cardstock and then grabbed my sponges.
First I used the Old Olive on the leaves and then started with the Wisteria Wonder on the central flower. This is when the accident happened. I dipped my sponge into the Old Olive and started to sponge the centre of the flower. Eek!
I looked at it and decided to continue to see what happened. I grabbed the Aqua Painters and using the lids of the inks as pallets added more colour to the petals and the leaves.
I then layered up Whisper White and Wisteria Wonder to make my card.
I love the result, and it just goes to show that accidents are not always bad.
Great card and great colouring, love it! Gr Linda
Thank you.
