I love being able to surprise someone, and one of my team reached a milestone recently so I decided to send her a little gift.

Who doesn’t need a notebook? You can buy plain notebooks from stationers, and it does not take much to decorate them.

I took some white on white embossed Designer Series Paper (Fancy Frost from the Autumn/Winter catalogue), and added colour to it using my ink pads and sponge. I randomly sponged Island Indigo, Old Olive, Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry over the entire piece of paper.

I cut it to size, added some ribbon to keep the book closed, and a tag in Island Indigo. Simple. It is a quick and easy project with, what I think, is a great result.
