I do love a freebie! I recruited during Sale-A-Bration, and as a reward, I was able to pick something from the new catalogue for free I always gravitate towards ethnic and oriental designs, so I picked the Moroccan Nights stamp set.
I have set myself the challenge to make at least three projects using this set, and here is the first.
Starting with a card blank of Island Indigo, I stamped randomly onto a mat of Basic Black with the medallion from the Moroccan Nights stamp set with the Versamark “ink”. A liberal sprinkle with some gold heat embossing powder, and the use of the heat gun later, and the design is set.
Then I placed some rhinestones onto one of the medallions for a bit of sparkle. I stamped the sentiment from one that you will find in the Gift From the Garden stamp set (which I adore), using the Decorative Label Punch to add some shape to both ends of the strip of card it was stamped on, and then added some candy dots which have sadly been retired.
I really do love these sets, and now I have to put my thinking cap on for the next design.
